Han Fen: the tea and its presentation
Han Fen takes a different direction from the traditional pine-smoked gift sets. The packaging identifies it as an innovative-craft black tea, and a honeyed floral fragrance shapes its tasting profile. Thirty sealed 5g portions provide 150g of tea in a red-and-gold presentation box.

Leaf and cup
A honeyed floral aroma carries an osmanthus-like impression. That is a tasting description, not a statement that flowers or honey have been added. The photographs show dark loose leaves, a clear orange-gold infusion and brown opened leaves.

Brewing notes
Start with 5g of leaf and 120–150mL of water close to 100°C (212°F). Warm the vessel first. Keep the first few infusions short, then add around 3–5 seconds as the leaves open. Adjust the leaf-to-water ratio to taste; for a larger mug or pot, use less leaf and separate it from the liquor when the tea is ready.
