A blue and white landscape teacup with a river scene
The design of this handmade Jingdezhen teacup is called Guan Jiang Wang Yuan, meaning Looking Across the River into the Distance. Mountains, rocks and trees unfold across its low, rounded body, while a small figure on a boat appears inside the bowl. The scene brings the visual language of Chinese landscape painting to a personal tea vessel.
The cup is made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China, with hand-painted underglaze blue decoration and traditional wood firing described in the supplied workshop materials. Its approximate capacity is 100 mL. This listing is for one teacup; tea trays, teapots and other vessels in the photographs and video are staging accessories.

Mountains, trees and a figure on the river
The composition moves between finely worked foreground details and softer distant mountains. Tree branches and foliage sit beside textured rocks, while pale washes suggest open water and space. The painting continues around the cup so that turning it reveals another part of the scene.
The supplied description explains that the trees are outlined and filled with lighter washes, while the rocks use denser, textured strokes. Changes from deep blue to lighter blue help separate the foreground from the distance. This contrast gives the small painting its sense of depth.

A landscape painted inside the bowl
Inside, a small boat and solitary figure sit in a wide area of pale water, with rocks, trees and a waterfall along the surrounding bank. The open space balances the denser blue decoration. As tea fills the cup, the warm colour of the infusion changes the view of the painting below.

Hand forming, painting and glazing
The low profile, open rim and recessed base create a quiet bowl-shaped form. Its decoration is painted beneath the glaze, using blue washes and detailed linework inspired by traditional Chinese landscape painting.
The workshop photographs show material preparation, clay working, wheel forming, drying, trimming, painting, glazing and firing. They illustrate the ceramic-making process from the supplied materials. No individual maker was identified for this cup.

Traditional wood firing in Jingdezhen
The supplied kiln information describes pine wood as fuel and shows ceramic vessels placed in protective saggars. Preparing the kiln, loading the vessels and tending the fire involve a team of workers. The process photographs offer context for the wood-fired finish.
Firing conditions can produce differences in glaze tone, blue colour and surface character. Handmade painting and forming also lead to small differences between cups. The photographed example is a guide to the design rather than a promise of identical brushwork on every piece.

At the tea table
The broad opening lets you observe the infusion and the painted interior as you drink. Use it as a personal tasting cup with tea poured from a teapot, gaiwan or serving pitcher. Fill below the rim and handle carefully when the porcelain is hot.
