Blue and White Lake and Mountain Landscape Gaiwan
Handmade, hand-painted porcelain from Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China. Approximate capacity: 200 mL (brimful). Retail price: US$760.
This listing includes one gaiwan set comprising a lid, bowl and saucer. Other cups, pitchers, trays, stands and table accessories in the photographs are display props.
Lake and Mountain Landscape
A continuous blue and white landscape wraps around this three-piece porcelain gaiwan. Darker trees and rock faces lead into softer mountain silhouettes and open stretches of water. Buildings, small figures and boats appear among the scenery. The lid continues the landscape, and patterned borders frame the bowl and saucer.

Three Pieces for Gongfu Brewing
The set consists of a lid, brewing bowl and matching saucer. Its bowl has a gently flared rim, and the raised lid knob gives a place to hold the lid while adjusting the opening. The supplied 200 mL capacity is a brimful measurement; leave space below the rim when brewing. The photographs show the gaiwan open, held in the hand and pouring tea.

A Landscape Inside and Out
The more densely painted mountain side contrasts with the open lakeside view on the opposite side. Pale glaze and varied cobalt washes keep the scene readable at this small scale. An overhead view shows tea in the bowl, while the separate underside photograph records its original painted base mark.

Porcelain Painting and the Wood Kiln
The supplied materials describe handmade porcelain, hand-painted decoration and traditional wood firing. The workshop photographs show pottery loading and kiln work associated with the collection. They provide context for the making process; the craftspeople in these workshop scenes are not identified as the painter of this particular piece.
Hand forming, brushwork and firing can produce small differences in shape, tone and glaze appearance between individual pieces. The close photographs are useful for seeing the character of the painted surface. Lighting and screen settings can also change how the colours appear.

Use and Care
Rinse before first use. Allow the porcelain to cool before washing, then clean gently with a soft sponge and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry before storage. Avoid abrasive cleaners, knocks against the rim or foot, and sudden temperature changes. For a gaiwan, take care around hot water and steam when holding the lid and bowl.
