Description
Traditional: the tea and its presentation
This 80g gift box is the smallest presentation set in the traditional selection. Sixteen sealed 5g portions make it easy to open only what you need for a tea session and leave the rest protected. These are packets of loose-leaf tea: open one and brew the leaves in a gaiwan, teapot or strainer.

Leaf and cup
Traditional pine smoking is central to this tea's character. Pine-smoke fragrance sits alongside a sweet, longan-like impression. The photographs show dark, twisted dry leaves, a clear amber infusion and opened brown leaves after brewing.

Brewing notes
Start with 5g of leaf and 120–150mL of water close to 100°C (212°F). Warm the vessel first. Keep the first few infusions short, then add around 3–5 seconds as the leaves open. Adjust the leaf-to-water ratio to taste; for a larger mug or pot, use less leaf and separate it from the liquor when the tea is ready.
Brand and origin
Zheng Shan Tang is the brand behind this selection, and the product information identifies Wuyishan in Fujian, China as its origin. The packaging, tea photographs and brewing notes are presented separately so you can compare what matters for your own tea routine.

Storage and use
Keep sealed in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and strong odors. Close the tin or inner bag promptly after taking out the leaves, and keep it away from kitchen steam. Use an opened portion promptly. Cups, trays and decorative props in the photographs are for presentation and are not included in the stated net weight of tea.
